AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
The American Cancer Society’s international mission concentrates on capacity building in developing cancer societies and on collaboration with other cancer-related organizations throughout the world in carrying out shared strategic directions.
RELAY FOR LIFE 2011
In 20010/11 Rachel Clarke Events is taking the greening of Relay For Life one step further with the launch the Eco Edge Relay initiative across greater Las Vegas. The initiate is off to a very promising start with the ongoing sponsorship from the U.S. Green Building Council Nevada chapter and Evergreen Recycling; and with a new sponsor on board, Green Scene Productions.

RELAY FOR LIFE 2010
In 2009/10 Rachel was the publicity chair for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of South Valley Nevada, and achieved a few first’s for the community.
Inaugural Paint the Village Purple was held at MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas. This community festival kicked-off the Relay For Life event and was strongly supported by the events industry and gained positive media attention. (January 2010)
Inaugural Greening of the Relay For Life of South Valley. Thanks to our generous sponsors, U.S. Green Building Council Nevada chapter and Evergreen Recycling we recycled 265lb of trash responsibility from the 15-hour event. (April 2010)
